Hey! I am Brooke and I am so glad you are here. 

I grew up in the mountains of Colorado, and just moved back here after living in Oslo, Norway for six years – I moved there to do my master’s degree (Religion, Society and Global Issues) and stayed when my husband was offered a position as a PhD Fellow.

I have two sweet, silly kids who are 3 years old and 5 years old, so I have lots of tricks on how to get great photos of kids!

I love creating – especially with photography, writing, crafting, pottery, and baking. I’ve made croissants twice, and consider that an accomplishment! I’m currently teaching pottery classes to adults and I’d LOVE to do more of that.

I love to travel (and check out bakeries and coffee shops along the way!) I always knew that Norway would not be my long-term home (we moved back back to Southern Colorado this summer), so I made it a point to travel around while I lived there! I travelled around Norway a few times (it’s so dang gorgeous) and took many trips in Europe. I really want to return to Barcelona and bike in the Netherlands again, but I don’t think I need to see Marrakesh again, at least not while pregnant. I spent a semester studying in England during my Bachelor’s degree and I hope to live there for a few years sometime. I’m a 7 on the enneagram, so I think my love of travel may come from that.

Here are a few of my favorite travel memories:

Vienna photographer
In 2019, my family visited Vienna at Christmastime with a 6mo and a 2.5 year old. I really wanted to experience German Christmas markets. I was was not disappointed! Here I am sipping on a hot “punch” with a wood flavor and rum. So good! Would love to return there!
Relatable photographer
This was the first “perfect” vacation. Jesse (my husband) and I visited Yellowstone with one other great friend. We explored the gorgeous mountains in the morning, played board games all afternoon and swam in the evening. It was ideal.

  This was during our “Crazy Trip.” We explored 10 cities in 12 days while I was 25 weeks pregnant. Jesse received a grant to study manuscripts first-hand so we travelled around the mediterranean. It was amazing! I’m not sure we’ll ever travel at that crazy speed again, but I thoroughly enjoyed it then.

One of my favorite parts of being a photographer is meeting all the families and couples I work with! I love hearing their stories, seeing their love for each other, and capturing them to the best of my ability. It’s my favorite thing.

Repeatedly I’ve heard that I make clients feel calm and relaxed and make the entire experience fun, all of which is reflected in the photos I take. And that’s exactly what I try to do. I want you to have a great time with your loved ones and I want to capture that for you to see and remember for years to come.
